Jamal Jones scored 21 points and grabbed five rebounds as the Aggies downed the visiting Rebels to climb back to the .500 mark in SEC play.
Jordan Green added a career-high 16 points for Texas A&M (17-12, 8-8), which shot 50.9 percent from the floor. Kourtney Roberson tallied 13 points while Alex Caruso dished out a game-high nine assists to go along with seven rebounds for the Aggies, who turned the ball over just six times.
Jarvis Summers led the way with 18 points and four assists for Mississippi (17-12, 8-8), which has lost five of its last six games. Marshall Henderson netted 16 points while Anthony Perez grabbed a team-high seven boards for the Rebels, who shot 36.1 percent from the field.
Ole Miss held Texas A&M scoreless for the final 4:26 of the first half and Summers nailed a late jumper to ensure the teams went into the break tied at 33. Roberson sparked an 8-0 spurt, but the Aggies could not stretch their lead to double digits despite the Rebels missing 13 of their first 14 shots in the second stanza.
Jones knocked down a jumper to give Texas A&M a 53-41 advantage before LaDarius White's driving layup trimmed the deficit to seven with 7:41 left. The Aggies started to pull away and went up 62-47 following Roberson's basket and they cruised the rest of the way to improve to 16-2 at Reed Arena this season. GAME NOTEBOOK:
